Welcome to the website of St. Theresa Catholic School!

My name is Kristy Dunn, and I am ecstatic to be the principal of this amazing school.

Located in Southwest Little Rock, St. Theresa School has served students for 55 years. Faculty and staff offer a quality
education in the Catholic tradition to students in grades PK4 to 8th. Our faculty are highly-qualified, with teachers
in grades 1-3 being trained in the Orton-Gillingham method of literacy instruction. We also have a part-time resource
teacher, also trained in the method. Our most veteran teacher, Judy Davidson, has taught at St. Theresa for 44 years!
Many of our teachers have taught at St. Theresa for more than 10 years, and while I am in my first year of principal,
I have taught here for eleven years and am a graduate of St. Theresa, as well. I am pleased to choose St. Theresa for
my own children's school.

The mission of St. Theresa Catholic School is to teach and serve in the spirit of Jesus Christ. Faculty and staff strive
to educate the whole child: physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Moderate class size and diverse cultural represen-
tation allow for a rich educational environment, in which students and teachers know one another by name. Weekly
mass attendance and daily instruction in the Catholic faith provide the basis for everything we do. Many parents and
students refer to St. Theresa School as family.

Before- and after-school care are available. Before-care starts at 7 AM and lasts until 7:30 AM; after-school care runs
from dismissal, 2:45 PM, until 5:30 PM. Hot lunches are available, including the use of the National School Lunch Program
(free and reduced lunches for students). Classes in physical education, computer lab, library, and music are offered
weekly. A safe, secure playground offers outdoor play time for students. Students in grades 5-8 are invited to play
volleyball, basketball, or football. Girls in grades 7 and 8 may want to participate in cheerleading; students in grades
7 and 8 have the opportunity to participate in quiz bowl, newspaper, or yearbook.
